Die Indische Rupie ist die Währungseinheit in Indien und wird von der Regierung Indiens und der Reserve Bank of India, der indischen Zentralbank, emittiert. Sie ist in 100 Paise unterteilt. Die indische Rupie wird oft als „iR“, „Rs“ (Plural) und „Re“ (Singular) sowie seit 2010 auch mit dem Währungssymbol „₹“ abgekürzt und hat im Code nach ISO 4217 die Bezeichnung „INR“.
