Norway House is a population centre of over 5,000 people, some 30 km (19 mi) north of Lake Winnipeg, on the eastern channel of the Nelson River, in the province of Manitoba, Canada. Norway House has three meanings: the unincorporated community; the First Nation reserve of the Norway House Cree Nation ; and both together. Thus, Norway House has both a chief and a mayor.
