The word "Tando" means "outpost" in Sindhi language and Tando Adam, founded by Mir Adam Khan Marri, is now the 57th most populous city in Pakistan. The town is renowned for its industries and agriculture production, with key crops including sugarcane, wheat, cotton, bananas, and mangoes.
